Scott County Regional Authority Awards Over $1.4 Million
bringing total funding since 1991 to over $98 Million
The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of over $1.4 million for the fall 2023 grant cycle.
Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:
Ryan Saddler, CEO, Friends of MLK, Inc. – $31,250 (final installment of $125,000 total commitment), MLK Park
Ann McGlynn, Executive Director, Tapestry Farms – $25,000, Purchasing a Refrigerated Truck to Increase Healthy Food Access for Scott County Residents in Need
Michele Dane, Board President, Scott Community College Foundation – $75,000, Augmenting Healthcare Worker Training with Simulation-Based Learning
Brian Kramer, Executive Director, Hilltop Campus Village – $20,000, Creative Reuse of Commercial Building – Phase 1
The Authority received a total of 89 requests for funding totaling $3,548,723.
A total of $1,416,071 was awarded to 45 projects benefiting residents of Scott County.
This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $98,614,275 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.
The next grant cycle is scheduled to be in spring 2024 with applications available by March 1, due April 1. Information regarding future grant cycles will be posted the SCRA website: www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com and shared through local media.
