Scott County Regional Authority Awards Over $1.3 Million
bringing total funding since 1991 to over $101 Million
The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of over $1.3 million for the fall 2024 grant cycle and reaching the historic milestone of awarding over $100 Million to organizations in the Quad City community.
Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:
Brian Strusz, Superintendent, Pleasant Valley Community School District – $50,000 (second installment of $200,000 total commitment), Elementary Playground Project
Nathan Unsworth, Deputy Director, Scott County Conservation – $37,500, Passenger Tram Trailers for Day Camp, XC Meets, Village Events, and Tour Enhancement
Lola VanDeWalle, Founder, Quad City Veterans Outreach Center – $15,055, Holiday Food Project
The Authority received a total of 90 requests for funding totaling $3,021,850.
A total of $1,366,813 was awarded to 45 projects benefiting residents of Scott County.
This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $101,361,741 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.
The next grant cycle is scheduled to be in spring 2025 with applications available by March 1, due April 1. Information regarding future grant cycles will be posted the SCRA website: www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com and shared through local media.
